Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Manual

Purpose

The aim is primarily to meet the requirements of the OHS Act as they relate to:

  • Our business needs, and,
  • Our client or project requirements.

Scope

Equal Access Group Pty Ltd headquarters – Unit 6, 15 Howleys Road, Notting Hill,  Victoria, Australia.

Scope of Operations: Disability access consultants, distributor of evacuation chairs, luminance contrast testing .

The scope of this Occupational Health and Safety Manual is to comply with the requirements of the OHS Act 2004.

Organisation Overview

Equal Access Pty Ltd (incorporating Evacuation Chairs Australia and Luminos Consulting) was established in early 2007 in Mulgrave, Victoria. Currently we are one of Australia’s leading Accredited Disability Access Consultants and we are registered with the Association of Consultants in Access Australia.

Our organisation specialises in providing practical advice on disability access issues, as well as selling evacuation chairs and testing for luminance contrast  to a variety of organisations in the private and public sectors.

We are committed to providing a quality and safe service to our customers and clients, as well as developing long term relationships to ensure the best outcomes for our clients, customers, and our organisation.

Customer focus is very important to us as we value our customers, and every attempt is made to represent our clients in the best possible manner. Our business operations are Australia-wide but we have also carried out overseas contracts.

The key services we provide are as follows:

  • Reviewing new and refurbishment building plans and surrounding environs for compliance with disabled access regulations.
  • Carrying out access audits of existing buildings and properties to identify potential barriers to access for people with disabilities.
  • Providing practical, sensible advice on disability access issues.
  • Consulting on disability access issues.
  • Providing accessibility courses and workshops
  • Providing comprehensive online resource of products to improve access to the built environment.
  • Luminance contrast testing
