Experience

Accredited Disability Access Consultants

Equal Access Disability Access & Egress Consultants, part of the Equal Access Group Pty Ltd was formed by Bruce Bromley in response to a growing recognition that whilst businesses were being urged to respond to their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act, the majority of assistance available was focused almost entirely upon the needs of the individual with a disability without an understanding of the impacts and practicalities for businesses and building designers and consultants.

We specialise in providing practical, sensible advice on disability access issues, including the Disability Discrimination Act, Building Code of Australia and suite of Australian Standards, to a variety of organisations in both the public and private sectors.

ACAA Accreditation

All of our key personnel have successfully completed the Association of Consultants in Access Australia inc (ACAA) Accredited Membership Test.

The purpose of this test is to ensure high standards of competency are maintained by all ACAA Accredited Members and to confirm competency and credibility within a growing, changing and demanding industry.

Our Motivation

Equal Access was born from our passion for creating an environment that is accessible to all. We are driven by the desire to deliver a high quality consultancy service to the professionals that will shape this environment.

Quality

Equal Access strives to stand out as a leading consultancy delivering sound advice and value for money. We operate under a Quality Management System that ensures consistency and quality to meet the needs of our clients.

Ultimately, we aim for total satisfaction. Our clients are our best performance measures, who can be a testament to our commitment to delivering projects at a high quality and within project timeframes.

Innovation

Equal Access has years of experience in delivery projects for clients. This experience, combined with a high level of knowledge in disability access, project management, building legislation and universal design allows us to tailor the delivery each project to the needs of each client.

Our Staff

Equal Access is a growing, dynamic organisation with disability access consultants who hold qualifications in access, building surveying, performance-based building and fire codes, civil engineering, risk management, occupational therapy and architectural design. Prior to specialising in the area of accessibility, our consultants have held positions in State government, local council planning/building departments and worked in various roles across the property and construction sectors.

Our company is also registered with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) to provide home modification design.

The combined skill-set within the office, along with years of experience and expert knowledge in accessibility allows us to provide a highly specialised service to meet our clients’ needs.

In conjunction with dedicated administrative support, we can deliver projects on time, on budget and to a standard exceeding other consultancies working in access.

Consultants all use calibrated test equipment during site inspections to determine levels of compliance.

Australia Wide & International Disability Access Audits & Consultation

Equal Access consult Australia wide and internationally. We have successfully completed contracts in places as far away as Tokyo Japan, Papua New Guinea, Darwin, McKay in Northern Queensland, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, and many rural centres.
